France Concert Tours
Welcome to France! Traveling to France for a seven day stay will not only reveal the beauty that France offers with its breathtaking vistas and incredible architecture, but also how France has long been considered the center of European art and music. French music has dominated the art and music scene in Europe since the Middle Ages and has contributed greatly in the development of European music in all its forms. France has produced a vast array of legendary composers from the early development of polyphonic music by Guillaume de Machaut to Couperin, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. French opera developed its very own style with Jean-Baptiste Lully and Hector Berlioz, and most importantly with George Bizet, whose famous opera, Carmen, was regarded as a brilliant new style for many decades. The first giant acoustics in the world were established with the building of gothic cathedrals. The sounds that choral music could achieve in Notre Dame and Reims Cathedral changed the way that composers and musicians thought.
