Located on the River Danube, Vienna is a cultural haven, filled with glorious parks and museums, amazing baroque and art nouveau architecture and breathtaking cathedrals and palaces, all which function as the backdrop for a lavish daily culture still found in the concert halls, opera houses and cafes.
Welcome to Budapest, Hungary! Spend the next three days in this captivating city situated among the hills along the River Danube. In Budapest, the historic blends with the modern, and a peaceful quality of life merges seamlessly with the larger metropolis. Budapest has successfully established itself as the country’s principal cultural, commercial and political center, and prides itself on preserving its longstanding traditions of art, music and culture. Hungarian classical and folk music are renowned all over the world. Influential Hungarian composers such as Béla Bartók and Franz Liszt helped to shape the musical world, and still today, keep the various concert halls full of life, attracting artists from all over the world.
Day One
- Depart North America for Vienna, Austria.
Day Two
- Morning arrival in Vienna.
- Transfer to the hotel in the city center.
- Afternoon guided tour of Vienna.
- Evening Welcome Dinner.
Day Three
- Breakfast in hotel dining room
- Guided visit to the Mozarthaus (where Mozart lived and wrote many of his most famous works) or the Haus der Musik (an interactive Discovery music museum).
- Free afternoon in Vienna.
- Evening Concert at the Peterskirche, the second oldest and most theatrical and lavishly decorated church in Vienna.
Day Four
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Guided visit to Schloss Schönbrunn where the Habsburg family spent their summers and where Mozart frequently performed.
- Perform a concert at Schloss Schönbrunn as part of the “Voices of the World” open-air concert series.
- Adults choirs perform a concert for the residents of a Senior Citizen Home in Vienna, while youth and student choirs perform at a School or University.
- Visit the Village of Gumpoldskirchen where you will enjoy a “Heurigen,” one of the great traditions of the Viennese; a traditional family style dinner of roasted meats, local wines and music.
Day Five
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Depart Vienna for Budapest.
- Guided city tour of Budapest.
- Group dinner at a local Gypsy restaurant serving traditional Hungarian fare. Music and dancing in the gypsy tradition add to the festive atmosphere.
Day Six
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Full-day guided excursion to the Danube Bend.
- Visit Gödöllo and the 250 year old Royal Palace.
- Perform a concert at the Baroque Theater in the Gödöllo Palace.
- Continue on to Szentendre where you will walk the narrow cobblestone streets.
- Next, visit Visegrad which served at the royal capital of Hungary during medieval times.
- Finally, visit Esztergom, a religious center since 1010.
- Return to Budapest where you will enjoy dinner on your own
Day Seven
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Guided tour of the Budapest State Opera House, completed in 1884.
- Perform a 7:00 p.m. concert in Matthias Church located in the heart of the Castle District. Matthias church was built in the 13th century as Budapest’s first parish church.
- Festive Farewell Dinner

- Breakfast at the hotel
- Depart Budapest for North America.
