Welcome to Vienna! Make your way from Prague to Vienna for an additional three nights. Vienna is an educational and enlightening experience, giving you a firsthand look in to a city renowned for its musical traditions. Rich in character and history, Vienna is a major leader in the Arts, from theater to opera to classical music and fine arts. The legacy left by Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn is alive in what many believe to be one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. Located on the River Danube, Vienna is a cultural haven, filled with glorious parks and museums, amazing baroque and art nouveau architecture and breathtaking cathedrals and palaces, all which function as the backdrop for a lavish daily culture still found in the concert halls, opera houses and cafes!
Day One
- Depart North America for Prague, Czech Republic.
Day Two
- Morning arrival in Prague.
- Guided tour of Prague, including Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. See such famous sites as the Astronomical Clock Tower and Tyn Castle.
- Welcome dinner in the hotel dining room.
Day Three
- Breakfast in hotel dining room.
- Guided tour of the Prague Castle District, including visits to St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, the Golden Lane and others historic attractions.
- Afternoon concert at Prague’s lovely church, St. Nicholas Church on the Old Town Square. This is an acoustically rich an ornate church rebuilt by famous architect, Kilián Ignác Dienzenhofer, in the 1730’s in the Baroque style after it was destroyed by a fire earlier in the 17th century.
- Evening performance of Mozart’s, “Don Giovanni” at one of Prague’s famous Marionette Theaters.
Day Four
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Prague’s Jewish Quarter including visits to various synagogues dating back to the Middle Ages, such as the famous Pinkas Synagogue, and the Jewish Cemetery.
- Afternoon concert at San Salvator of the Holy Savior, a gorgeous church located near the famous Charles Bridge.
- Group dinner at a local Czech restaurant.
Day Five
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Depart Prague for Vienna, Austria. Stop for lunch en route.
- Upon arrival in Vienna, check in to the hotel and settle in.
- Group dinner at the hotel.
Day Six
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning guided tour of Vienna, including the Rathaus (city hall), Parliament, the Ringstrasse and the State Opera House.
- Noontime concert at St.Stephen’s Cathedral, the mother church of the Archdiocese of Vienna located in the heart of Vienna. This is one of the most visited sites in the city and a symbol of the country’s freedom.
- Free afternoon and evening in Vienna for independent sightseeing and exploration.
Day Seven
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided visit to Schloss Schönbrunn where the Habsburg family spent their summers and where Mozart frequently performed.
- Afternoon or evening concert at the Peterskirche, the second oldest and most theatrical and lavishly decorated church in Vienna.
- Festive Farewell Dinner at a local Viennese restaurant serving local specialties.
Day 8:
