Welcome to China!  Explore China’s rich and diverse culture on a five night tour to Beijing.  As one of the four ancient civilizations, China’s unique customs and traditions can be traced back through many centuries and still continue in the present day to assert a profound and invaluable influence on the rest of the world.  Elegant and inspiring, rare and enchanting, dynamic and progressive, the culture of China has attracted and affected all who come to visit.  China’s innate ability to infuse the old with the new, the traditional with the modern, sets it apart from other cultures and allows such an integration to be celebrated through avenues of music, art, dance and architecture.  During your stay in Beijing, you will certainly experience this and so much more.  From beautiful temples to time-honored practices and ceremonies to delicious cuisine, your senses will be stimulated and your mind enriched.

Day Two

• Welcome to China!
• Greeting at the Beijing airport by your Music Contact International Tour Manager and local Chinese guide. 
• Enjoy an introduction to Beijing on your way from the airport in your private motor coach. 
• Visit the Temple of Heaven, the largest temple and altar complex in China.  The surrounding gardens and parks are filled with people playing music, flying kites, playing dominoes and doing tai chi.
• Check in to your hotel and enjoy some time to relax and refresh before dinner.
• A Peking Duck Welcome Dinner awaits you at a well known Beijing restaurant.

Day Three

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Embark on a city tour of Beijing. Visit famous sights such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Wangfujing shopping downtown area and the Quianman Area with its artisan shops and rickshaws.
• In the afternoon perform a Community Concert in a historic neighborhood of Beijing for a large,  appreciative audience.
• In the evening, a group dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant.

Day Four      

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Today, perform a concert in a popular community theater for a Chinese audience.
• Free time to continue your exploration of Beijing.  Opportunity to visit the Summer Palace, Olympic Village, teahouses and silk factories.
• Enjoy a group dinner of delicious Chinese cuisine at a local restaurant.

Day Five    

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Perform as part of a Sunday Worship Service. Your choir is invited to sing and enjoy fellowship at a local church.
• An evening Friendship Concert will be arranged with a choir from China.  Share and exchange song, culture and music.
• Dinner will be arranged to complement your performance schedule.

Day Six

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Locally guided excursion to the Great Wall of China, one of the Great Wonders of the World.
• The afternoon is free for independent exploration and shopping in Beijing. 
• In the evening a group farewell dinner will be arranged.

Day Seven

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free time continues for final day shopping and photo taking.
• In the evening depart by motor coach for the Beijing Airport for your return flight to North America.
• Cross the International Date Line and arrive home on the same afternoon you departed China.
