 FlightsMusic Contact International offers flights for all concert tours and festivals. Our flight department uses a Sabre® system for booking and issuing electronic or paper tickets. The flight coordinators’ office are in the same Music Contact International office building as the tour planners’, thus information between tour planning and flight bookings flow smoothly.The backbone for our extremely well-priced flights lies in excellent and decade-old relationships with the airline industry. These relationships are being awarded by low priced flight contracts. We have real-time, pre-negotiated group pricing for hundreds of destinations worldwide instantly available, a valuable advantage in today’s world of low price (but only for a few seats per flight) environment. All our flights are booked on reputable international airlines that offer multiple flights per route and day. This way, if a sandstorm in the Sahara or an ice storm in Finland causes delays, we can switch you to the next flight or even another airline. On several occasions in the past it has been of advantage for certain festivals and special concert tours to charter entire airplanes, which then are used exclusively for your choir. When you book your flights with us, we write a flight contract for you. This document lists the airfare(s), outlines luggage allowance, payment deadlines, deposit deadlines, cancellation rules, summarizes utilization (how many seats have to be used by what date) and more. This way you have all information in one document and can reference the rules and dates pertaining to your flight and airline at your fingertips! We will monitor together with you during the tour booking and planning process that all rules and conditions for fares, seat numbers, additions, cancellations, etc. are observed, we will alert you of deadlines for deposits, payments and seat utilization. Sometimes individual members of a group like to stay longer at the foreign destination or go somewhere else before or after the concert tour. We will be happy to consult with you on the possibilities and arrange these ‘deviations’ from the group flight schedule for you. The flight schedule for your group is a part of the ‘confirmed tour’ information that will be accessible on the internet to all your group members and their families as soon as your group director has given out the ID and password. |
