Bring your choir, band or orchestra on a concert tour of Prague, Czech Republic.
Many consider Prague to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Spared from the bombs of World War II, Prague retains its ancient beauty. Altogether, Prague’s impressive architecture, quaint city streets, and grand Vltava River create a magnificent background for your concert tour. Grand historic churches, theaters, and concert halls line the streets and provide fantastic venues for both small and large ensembles and performers.
Music fills the air in Prague 365 days a year. From popular Czech composers, such as Bedrich Smetana and Antonin Dvorák, to those that simply visited, such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the city pulses with a truly musical rhythm heard on the streets, in the language, and of course in the beautiful venues that will welcome your ensemble.

Concert Tour Highlights

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
The capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, Prague is situated on the Vltava River in Central Bohemia. Prague has been the political, cultural and economic center of the Czech Republic for over 1,100 years, and is now home to more than 3.1 million people. In 1992, the historic center of Prague was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, thus solidifying the city as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. The city’s musical tradition also lures travelers, as Prague is well known for its composers and music halls.

PRAGUE CASTLE DISTRICT
In Hradčany (Prague’s Castle District) stands the Prague Castle itself, along with many other palaces, churches and monasteries. Some of the palaces are home to art galleries, while others are used as government or church buildings. The Prague Castle is now the seat of the Czech president and is Prague’s number one tourist attraction. See St. Vitus Cathedral, the center of the castle and the most important cathedral in all of the Czech Republic, and admire the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and the Golden Lane.

JEWISH PRAGUE
The Jewish Quarter in Prague, known as Josefov, is located between the Old Town Square and the Vltava River. Its troubled history dates back to the 13th century, when members of the Jewish community in Prague were ordered to vacate their homes and all settle in one area. Over the centuries, more and more people were crowded into the area as Jews were banned from living anywhere else. Six synagogues remain, including the famous Pinkas Synagogue. Other noteworthy sights are the Jewish Town Hall and the Old Jewish Cemetery, the most remarkable of its kind in Europe. There is also the Old-New Synagogue, the oldest preserved synagogue of Central Europe, which is today the main house of prayer for Prague’s Jewish Community.

FRIENDSHIP CONCERTS
Our friendship concerts are a featured experience on our tours and are at the heart of our mission to foster cultural connections through music. We benefit from a vast international network in the choral world built over our thirty years' experience of helping choirs share their music both in the United States and abroad. Your choir will share a venue and a concert program with a host choir from the region. Your singers will have the chance to hear their host choir's repertoire (often showcasing local musical styles) and to share your own repertoire in turn. Fellowship time usually follows the friendship concert, giving both choirs the chance to mingle and enjoy the camaraderie of creating cross-cultural connections through a shared love of music.
