June 14-18, 2023
Welcome to Rome
Travel to Rome and participate in the Roma in Canto International Festival of Sacred Music. Your choir will have the opportunity to perform during High Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica alongside choirs from around the globe. Explore historic Ancient Rome. Visit the remarkable Roman Colosseum with an expert guide. Enjoy local cuisine with your choir at a restaurant in central Rome.
Last year, the mass featured a rich repertoire directed by Maestro Fabio Avolio of the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo University in Rome and director of the Choir of Aventino in Rome, including:
- Sanctus (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, from Missa Brevis)
- Super Flumina (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina)
- Cantate Domino (Claudio Monteverdi)
In addition to performing in St. Peter’s, your choir will also have the opportunity to perform as part of a concert series at another beautiful church in Rome. Ready to get started? Contact us today!
